After leaving the DC Universe during the events of the Infinite Crisis storyline the Amazons return to attack Washington, D.C. in retaliation to the attack previously made to Themyscira as well as for the illegal prison detainment of Wonder Woman by the Department of Metahuman Affairs.

The Amazons teleport to Washington, D.C. as a battalion of warriors along with mythological creatures to aid them such as Chimeras, winged horses, hydras and several giant Cyclops. Two Amazons manage to enter the White House in an attempt to assassinate the President of the United States but are stopped by Black Lightning before they could complete their task.
