On Tuesday, March 12, 1974, a second attempt was made to bring Wonder Woman to life. This made-for-tv movie, originally created as a pilot to a potential tv series, starred Cathy Lee Crosby (former tennis player) as a blonde, plain-clothed Wonder Woman. This incarnation of the Amazon warrior showed a Wonder Woman with no powers who acted more like a spy and less like a traditional superhero. Here, Wonder Woman must retrieve a set of books containing a complete list of U.S. field agents, their undercover identities, current assignments, and top-secret military code and return them to the U.S. government.
